This is my first post. I went to my first meeting yesterday. I was afraid but went anyway and I was given a warm welcome. I felt at ease almost immediately.

The more I research my addiction the more I realize this is where I belong. The internet porn was taking over my life. I took every second I could find to go on line. I was not getting my work done. My relationship with my wife was getting worse by the day. We are still in a difficult patch. She is helping by putting restrictions on the computers in the house and getting rid of all the porn on my computer as well as magazines, DVD's, etc...

Tomorrow is a new day. I am feeling motivated by the meetings and this post to be strong and resist the urges.

      Thank you for being there!

      Welcome Rick!

We're glad your here, as this place is what I've termed an "Oasis in a storm of online garbage" and we know what that means...

It sounds like your serious. This is good for the obvious reason that it takes being serious to begin a victorious path to freedom.

I am especially glad to hear that you have taken on the PA from every possible angle, being here, meeting face-to-face with others, wife is involved. Each one of these steps when taken individually is very good; all of them together and the stage is now set for you to make a clean break from the old brute habits.

Please consider starting up your own journal where the rest of the community can help you, get familiar with your story.

Hey, Rick: How are you doing? I admire you for going to a meeting. That is a GREAT start! Really glad your wife is helping. You are a lot further along the road, I'd say, due to the fact that you attended a meeting and your wife knows and is helping.

Good luck, and let us know soon how you are faring.

      All the best,

      Dave
