Hello! Another one from NPS here! Was a lot of talk about this site over there (during a period when NP suffered severe technical issues), so I thought I might as well check this one out. I'm glad I did! :)
Wow Todd, really glad to hear that you come to your senses and changed your attitude after discovering TTF. It's an ongoing sickness indeed, and it's messing up almost all areas of our lives, that's supposed to be meaningful and exciting. Instead it's making us miserable and withered (like a flower that doesn't receive nurturing and enough water)
Actually reading your story there made me think of something. You know those annoying adverts to various sites, which seems to be related to the topic you are searching for? Like when I'm googling "skiing", I might see adverts for sites selling ski equipment, or for various ski resorts, and stuff like that.
Well wouldn't it be great if Google (and all the other search engines) implemented this:
If someone are searching for [insert any random pornographic term here], then on the resulting page, there would appear a noticeable advert/text, with a message like:
"Are porn consuming much of your time? Have you ever considered that it's a big issue and a problem for you? Do you want to stop? Then you should know that there's help to get, check the sites Throughtheflame, No-porn and/or RecoveryNation. You will benefit heavily benefit from it, and you can get your true life back! Good luck!"
I think a measure like this should indeed be doable and the the search engines should really consider to make this happen ASAP! I can just imagine all the p industry's victims sitting out there, right now as we speak, completely indulged in their life harming behaviour, and in fact are really in the need for help. But sadly they still haven't made the decision to start looking for it.
Google should be contacted and this suggestion should be put on their table, as a measure like this is desperately needed!
What do you think folks?
