Default Is P an option?! Angry rant to follow

I've been reading many journals today and I find something... odd and a bit angering.

Since when is P a choice in our lives. To have P or not to have P. I don't recall in any mystery handout for SOs, biblical doctrine, marriage vows or rules anywhere that states that as a society we have to accept something so degrading and we should have a place for it in our lives.
Just because the devil has a way with words and can manipulate law, doesn't make it okay.

PORNOGRAPHY IS NOT OKAY. Just because it's out there(I'm sorry in our lives, now) doesn't make it okay. Rape is not okay and it's in P. Degrading and humiliating pictures and videos of females and males being paid for S** is not okay. Human degradation is NOT OKAY. It's not funny, it's not a joke.

For married folk, if your vows had included, "Thou shalt honor and cherish and accept pornography in your life if you got fat, pregnant, sick, etc." Would you have said, Yes or I guess?

For the religious folk, if the ten commandments changed tomorrow and said, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife or anything that belongs to thy neighbor, except for pornography, because it's legal" Would we still have made these our life guidelines to live by?

For patriots, if the pledge of allegiance(God forbid) was changed and said, "I pledge of allegiance and to accept P, because it's legal and we think it's okay" would we pledge to it?

      NO.

Since when is P an option? For anyone. P has been foisted upon on as a society and now we are being forced to deal with the repercusions all because people wanted to get rich. The devil is laughing and laughing all the way to the bank. Selling us something we never needed but sure made it look like we did and apparently to some morons who blog on Careless News Network, still do?

Look at us all? The betrayal, the suffering, the pain, the shame. WE are looking to each other for support and the outside world thinks P is still a joke. Our feelings are not jokes. We are not jokes or prudes.

Look at the crazy things happening all around us with the effects of P in our lives.

How did we get to a place that it's normal to get large breast implants, collagen, botox and god only knows what else, and if we don't then it's okay if our mates look elsewhere? Since when is it okay to flaunt our privates for all the world to see and it's perceived as a 'Celebration of beauty' or the human body? I find beauty in all people and I don't need to see them in their birthday suits.

If white slavery, child(gag) slavery, videos on any social network of our daughters and sons in any school campuses across the country doing the most immoral and insane acts and bragging about it still hasn't slapped us all in the face that we need to draw the line and that line is this side of P, where are we going to draw it and who is going to do it, if not us?

Prostitution is an exchange of goods and services for S**. Just because it's videotaped with a production company, doesn't change the relationship between prostitutes(p stars) and pimps(so called agents). Prostitution is still illegal in most of the 50 states in the U.S. How did p get away with it?

Complacency? Peer pressure? I'm guilty with both. But I'll own it and make a difference and maybe someday I can forgive myself.

Hey Sir Love... nice post and I agree with you that P certainly is not OK! ...not in any way shape or form! I appreciate your honesty here,

      Thanks Hopefuls Rock,

I'm an SO and I was very liberal minded growing up as a kid in the 70s and that whole 80s era where certain singers and performers influenced a lot of s** revolution kind of stuff. It was all BS. And now I'm paying the price for it with having to deal with it in my marriage.I didn't know in the early 90s that it was addictive and takes the human element out of our relationships and alters perceptions so drastically.

I know, ignorance is not an excuse. My H came with this into our marriage and I feel responsible because I thought if I didn't then I would be a prude or my H would leave me because he needed it so he wouldn't cheat on me. Stupid, huh?
