Hang on in there.

This is not easy - so many years of habits to change, and in trying to get clear of our usual way that has allowed us to numb out the world and our emotions in the past is hard as for now we have to stay with it all.

What do you need to do now?

Hope tomorrow is better.

I haven't looked at P in a couple of days. But I'm still having problems objectifying women. Especially during the summer time, it is pretty difficult.

Any tips on this??? I felt most comfortable around women when I realized they were human beings just like me, now I'm back to thinking extremely perverted thoughts whenever I see women.

I don't know if you've put together a plan of recovery or not. By "plan of recovery" I simply mean giving some thought to when you are most vulnerable to "triggers" and what you intend to do to avoid those triggers and deal with them if you can't avoid them. Reading the many resources offered on and off the web will help you understand things a bit better and the forums will give you methods that have helped many of us.

Generally, if you are saving/storing P somewhere I suggest you get rid of it, every single bit. Then, if there are certain situations where you are particularly susceptible to P viewing, avoid those situations or make P viewing as difficult as possible. If the computer is a problem, put it in a public place, put a filter/block on it or get some accountability software. In many cases, using some method to redirect your attention or focus (physical exercise, going for a walk, calling a friend, etc.) will get rid of the urge or image. If you have a trusted friend in whom you can confide, I suggest you do so. If you don't, then this forum may be the best alternative.

PA thrives on secrecy, isolation and deception. Anything you can do to lessen these conditions in your life will help you overcome this problem. Life is much better without porn. Good luck.

I guess many things happen in life that trigger other things, if only we could find the root cause of this, if there was one trigger that set us on this path.
Dude, you are me. And if my wife saw your cookie post, she would be laughing.

I think some people just have addictive personalities. I have always known this about myself, and it is the reason I have never smoked, drank or done drugs. I am TERRIFIED of becoming an addict. The P snuck in under the radar somehow...
