Dear All,
I joined TTF on the 7th January 2007. At that time there were probably between 5 and 10 daily active members. Even with the site existing and the handful of active members, I took great comfort in knowing I was not alone on this journey. Regardless of where we are all from in the world, our background or beliefs, we all shared in the pain from the causes of P, and gained the strength of mind to say ‘No’ together.
6 months in, this site has grown immensely, with the number of daily posts well into double figures as well as daily active members. While this adds to my strength to combat P, it is also saddening to realise there will be an ever increasing number of people that are affected by PA.
TTF has recently gone over 5000 posts, and very close to
6000 with just short of 600 members of which 10% are in someway active.
It seems in this current day and age; it is far more acceptable to be an alcoholic or a addict. I for one would be a lot less embarrassed to say I was addicted to one of these than P. Why is that? Because PA is not widely acknowledged as an addiction and many disagree there is even a problem with P. I am positive this attitude will change in time, generally after it has affected a professionally recorded statistic in the millions.
So what’s this post all about?
TTF has been so significant in assisting me to be P free. TTF has provided a platform, a virtual platform that feels safe and secure. It has allowed me to meet others in similar positions to me, it has allowed my wife to meet others in similar positions to her. It has allowed both PA’s and partners to both understand each others situations.
Anyone can create a forum, but the care, and attention to detail that has gone into TTF is second to none, in that it has 100% duty of care to its members for the primary objective of helping people break free from PA.
For this reason, and nearing 6000 posts, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Admin for all his time and effort in creating this site. His vision is selfless and humble, and I believe that is why this site is a success and will continue to be.
Keeping this site alive is not only important for me, but it is important for another million other people who will be affected by P, and one day, may need this site to save their marriage, relationship or even life.
Ask yourself these questions - Have you received one piece of advice that has stopped you from viewing P at a weak moment?
- Has TTF changed your views on P?
- Has TTF given your relationship another chance?
- Has TTF given you that confidence to say no?
- Has TTF allowed you to use your knowledge to help others?
- Has TTF allowed you to spend hours on the forum or arcade instead of hours in front of P?
If your answer is
YES to any of these, like they are for me, I would very much encourage you to do
two things:
- Post a short a reply and let Admin know what he has done for you so far.
- Make a donation. (The smallest donation is $25 / £13) How much would you value your relationship? How much would you value your quality of life?
Thank You
