Default what will people say when you die?

We started talking about what our obituaries might say on another thread, but I don't want to take over someone's journal, so I brought my musings here.

I wonder what people will say about me when I die. I am pretty sure people will not focus on what I looked like or how much I weighed. I am pretty sure they will focus on what I did or didn't do with my life. They will focus on my impact on others and the amount of people at my funeral will depend on how many people I impacted in a positive way. If I wasted my life on selfish and superficial pursuits, I am sure that will reflect on my funeral guest book.

When my great Aunt's husband died years ago, she wrote to me that she was glad he died because he made her life a living hell. I don't know why she would open up to me like that, but I know she felt a great relief since she didn't come from a time when divorce was acceptable. Everyone else thought he was a great guy. Apparently, he wasn't great to her.

What will people say about you when you die? If you think about this question, maybe you will focus more on what is really important. If you died today, would your loved ones be sad, or would they secretly be thankful that they are free of you?

Its hard to quit something when you just like it so much. I have that problem with ice cream, but I can run off ice cream. Can you run off P?
