Default Is lust in our genes?

Somehow this conversation came up with my SO. She noticed that I look away when some something enticing is in front of me, such as a scantily clad woman walking by or an arousing scene in a movie. I thought she'd be happy that I don't gawk at such things. Instead, she said, "What, you can't look at a woman without wanting to jump their bones?"

      Sigh.

I defended myself by saying that it's natural for men to be attracted to sensual/s*xual images of women, and that I choose not to look so that I don't lust after them.

Her retort was that men use the "it's natural" excuse when they cheat on their spouses.

      Sigh again.

So I want to ask people here: Do you think it's part of men's wiring to be aroused by images of s*x and scantily clad/attractive women? My SO seems to think that there are some men out there who could have a hot, unclothed woman right in front of them and not feel a thing because they are so in love with their SO's.

There's an interesting article linked in here: psychologytoday article

I believe it addresses some of your question.

      Peace,
