Hey folks here's a question. "Who all wants to deal with a shame spiral and a constant need to hide your tracks?"
Not many people understand that question. Not enough information there. But let me word it this way.
"Who all wants to deal with a porn shame spiral with the need to cover your tracks because you share a pc with your SO/friend/neighbor/coworker/etc. and you clean out your favorites, clean your history?"
Not many people want to. That's porn addiction.
Then there's that day, you know that day everyone was out of the house, you were king/queen of the throne cause no one was there with you. That urge kicked in, you gave in exposed yourself and readied yourself for some old time Porn. But wait. After your session, your SO/friend/neighbor/coworker/etc. decided to come back early. Quick, click off the site. Close all windows. You get off the pc.
Oh no! I didn't clean the history. Oh no! I didn't delete the videos/files/websites/etc.
That's porn addiction.
"Hey, no ones here. You have a portable device. Lets go to that site we love so much and watch the pics/vids. It's yours, no one elses."
"Hey man/woman, can I use your portable device"
Sure np. "Ummmm dude/dudette, you have some pics on here that are pretty bad"
Anxiety. Shame. Depression. "What am I doing"
"I've been clean for X amount of days. I don't need to worry. This site is getting old. Same old journal entries, I don't need it."
old skin calling you to stop getting support. You give in.
2 hours of porn watched that nite. You were exposed. MB or whatever.
Anxiety. Tears. Shame. Depression. "I was doing so good"
That's porn addiction.
We're here to fight those scenarios. And I'm not afraid to post that there. It's what happens to us, PA's. Lets fight this!
