      Exclamation Firefox issues

Any users that access TTF with Firefox, please note that the latest version 3.6.x is causing issues with the text editor on this site.

Firefox versions 3.5.x has been tested and is working normally.

Please delay your update to this later version until advise by a member of the TTF Team.

If you have already installed the latest version you can either revert back to an older version, or use IE, Chrome or Opera, which are all tested with this site.

      Many Thanks

      The TTF Team

      Default Work around for Firefox

I have Firefox 3.6.8 and when I open a text box to type a post, I am unable to type into the box. However, there is a small A/big/A icon the the top right corner of the box. Click on the lower big A and hey presto you can type into the text box and make your post. There may be other features of the editor that play up, but I have been doing this and making posts.

Thanks Benedict. We actually tested with FF 3.6.10 and in that version the aA box doesn't help either unfortunately.

Helpful for users to know who are using the previous version however.

      Peace,

Thanks!! I went back to the FireFox 3.5 and now I haven't had any problems editing or posting.

      What a difference!

Well, I noticed that I didn't have a problem with the text box that is integrated into the "edit post" feature. When I edit a post that box appears normal and I can type in it normal, no issues. its the "advanced edit" or "quick post" or "reply to thread" text box that is the issue. Maybe someone who knows html (or is this java/javascript?) that can take the code from that used with the quick edit box and just use the code for the box to replace the others!

I remembered reading in here about someone saying "when I clicked on the A/A box it worked". I'm using the latest version of firefox and I clicked that button, that when you hover your mouse over it it says "switch editor mode", and it works JUST fine! Maybe someone needs to put in a line in the java script that says "If firefox version 3.x.x.x or greater then editor mode = whatever the heck this editor mode is"! just a thought!

      Default Firefox 3.6.1.1

On a whim, I updated Firefox to the new version 3.6.1.1 yesterday. By using the a/A box in the top right corner of the editor, it seems to be working without the text box issues.

Just an FYI for the FF users out there.

      Peace,
      ~C~

      Cris,

I've tested it three times and it works every time.

It was such a pain trying to work around FF and difficult to keep track of posts/replies.

How did you figure that out?

I got stuck in IT h3ll this week at work. On a whim, I tried it on my new laptop and it worked. :)

      Default Firefox 3.6.12

Site wouldn't work on Firefox in terms of posting...so I'm loading it in IETab and having no issues.
