      Default posts disappearing on submission

Does anyone else have trouble when trying to submit their post? We have found quite often that we have to resign in and when we do, the post will often get lost in the transmission.
This can be very frustrating after spending time putting your feelings down only to have them disappear. I now copy each of my posts before I try to send them but my H did that tonight and he still lost the post after spending 45 min to an hour expressing himself.
Does anyone have any tips or ideas about how to keep this from happening? We would be grateful for any assistance with this!

      Jenn & Mac,
It happens to me all the time too, when my login times out from inactivity when I am typing.

First, when you log in, check the "keep me signed in" box which should help. The other thing I do is right before I submit, I select everything and copy it. that way, incase I do get booted out, I can paste exactly what I had typed previously. It's a pain, but at least I dont end up having to retype everything.

      Hope this helps.

      Peace,
      ~C~

      Thanks Crisodian!
I will see if i can see the keep me signed in button. I do copy and paste everything too but tonight Mac lost a rather long post even though he did that! Something went a little wonky there! Very frustrating to say the least!

Tell me! I've lost track of how many posts of mine that have vanished. The "keep signed in" should help.

      Good luck!

Hey Jenmac, Ive experienced the same, and Crisodians advice is right, but at the same time, thinking about it, 45mins is very long to keep a web session alive. If im every typing up a post that i know will be longer than 10 mins, I always copy it into Word or notepad, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks FM! That is a good idea. Sometimes it takes us newcomers a little longer to get our feelings down on paper i think. Haha We may be newcomers but we are in fact much slower at our age after all!

Sonoma's been bitten by the post-eating gremlin twice today.

He's NOT a happy boy. I'll suggest Wordpad as well as checking the "keep signed in".

Ooops. I just posted those same suggestions in response to his post. Sorry about all the frustrations!

LOL... it's not a problem at all. He hears it twice, but other people who are having these issues wouldn't think to look in his journal for solutions, so it'll help more than just him. :)
      Thanks for the help!
