ThroughTheFlame.org Site Rules
correct as of 18th May 2011
All members are required to read and agree to follow the rules below before using the site.
Failure to follow these rules may result in your posts being edited or removed without warning, and may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including permanent banning from the site.
While we try to avoid censorship as much as possible, our primary goal is to create an environment which is safe and nurturing for PAs and SOs alike. Message content which conflicts with this goal will be edited or removed without warning.
Our moderators and staff give up their free time to help maintain this site as a calm, helpful and informative place. You will usually be alerted if you are in breach of the site rules, but due to increasing work levels this may not always be possible. If you have any questions about the rules or any moderator actions then please do not hesitate to contact any member of the TTF team by private message.
As the TTF community is entirely based online please be aware that the meaning of posts may be subjective and sarcasm in particular may not be obvious in text format. Please try to assume that all posts are made with good intentions and hopefully we can avoid misunderstandings. If you are unsure as to a member’s meaning it is better to ask for clarification than to jump to conclusions.
1. AGE
(1.1) Please note that this site contains content that may not be suitable for people under 18 years of age. While we acknowledge that people under 18 can be affected by this addiction, we reserve the right to ban anyone who is underage from specific forums if those forms are deemed unsuitable for them.
(1.2) Underage members should also be aware that this is an adult forum and we reserve the right to ban any underage member who does not demonstrate the maturity expected of members.
2. MEMBER PROFILES
(2.1) To protect your privacy we advise you to choose a username which is not the same as either your e-mail address or your full name.

(2.4) This is a safe place, lets keep it that way. Please do not use any image which could be considered triggering to other members as your avatar, profile picture or in your albums or signature. Any images which are not deemed suitable will be removed at the discretion of the TTF team. Specifically please do not use an image of a human being as your avatar or profile picture. This applies to both photos and to illustrations such as cartoon or anime characters. We are prepared to make some exceptions to this rule but these will be considered on an individual basis. If you believe your choice may be acceptable please submit the proposed image to the TTF team for consideration before using it.
(2.5) Please do not link to sites outside TTF in your signature, or advertise any kind of product or service. Failure to follow this rule will result in the editing of your signature without warning.

(3.6) Threats, insults or personal attacks on members will not be tolerated and will result in a formal warning or disciplinary action.

However, be aware that some filtering software will block web pages that include those words, so if you choose to use them, some users may not be able to read your post.

We may allow interviews with members or statistical information gathered on the site to be used in media reports or research papers however this is solely at the discretion of the TTF team. If any members of the media or scholarly community wish to interview members or gather information from this site then please contact Admin directly by private message for permission. Messages of this nature posted without permission will be deleted without warning and may lead to disciplinary action.

If you have a complaint about the conduct of a member of the TTF team please contact Admin2 the head administrator via private message.

(6.7) The TTF team reserves the right to ban any member without warning if it is deemed necessary. This is primarily to allow spammers to be deleted quickly.
Throughtheflame reserves the right to make changes to the site rules at any time without notice.
