      Default One year of freedom

      TTF,

Today marks my one year anniversary of being P free.

Thank you to everyone who has shared the journey with me.

This place is amazing, with even more amazing people to come alongside and encourage and help and listen and bond over our common cause.

I liken TTF to an Online Refuge, a place to read and post and give your brain a chance to work through some wrong thinking. I first found TTF while trying to research the P industry's human carnage in hopes of killing the old urges.

And I honestly haven't been the same since.

It is very much like a family and I consider us to be like friends who are bonded in a very unique way, and honestly much closer than most of the people who know me face-to-face.

The other morning I was making myself sandwiches for work, listening to Public Radio, and enjoying a real quiet house, still dark outside. And I realized that this moment was a dream come true. I used to dearly yearn to be able to be up early doing clean honest tasks, preparing for a day. In the old ways, a lot of early morning time was spent doing you-know-what. I would leave for work feeling utterly miserable and in total bondage.

      Not anymore!

      Thank you LORD.

      Thank you TTF.

      Daniel

      Daniel ...

You certainly are an inspiration for others ... not only porn addicts, but their significant others as well! :D

Thank you for sharing with us along the way ... the good, the bad and the ugly!

I'm curious how your wife is feeling on this day. Best of luck to you and Mrs Daniel on the rest of your journey.

      Rowlf & JerseyGirl,

Thank you very much for the kind words, they are encouraging!

Mrs. Daniel has been swamped with work and didn't realize it was my 'anniversary'. I told her and she was genuinely happy (well of course!).

The two of us have been doing excellently, and this journey is by far much more my own than hers. She cares (obviously) that I am free, she likes that I am active here and can help others, but she doesn't have the time or driving interest to follow all of my details. She enjoys knowing I am who I am, that there's no more duplicity more than anything else.

She has learned volumes on forgiveness, boundaries, personal imperfections. These lessons were necessary for us to make it whole.

I could say a lot more but suffice that Mrs. Daniel was the originator of my motivation to get clean and stay clean, but the walk was mine to make...

I plan to post more about how my life is different now, what the keys for me have been, how things continue etc., in my journal...

      All the Best!,

      Daniel

Wow Daniel, one year that really is very significant! Your posts here alone are an encouragement to me that here is an example of someone who really did get free. I consider what you have beaten to be the equivalent of winning a medal at the Olympics.

I know exactly how brutal the dark forces in our mind can be, in luring us back to moral and mental failure, and the fact that you have overcome it really is pretty amazing.

Congratulations, I am VERY impressed. In 44 weeks I will be there too :-h
