Welcome Nicky!

I'm so glad you're here. I'm so sorry that you're hurting. The good news is that you've come to the right place. This is a great community full of other hurting people that are looking to be free from P. You'll find lots of encouragement, support, friendship and accountability - the recipe for success in overcoming P.

You're right - being home alone can make resisting temptation a challenge. Do you have to be at home alone right now? Can you go for a walk, visit a museam, take a drive, or some other healthy alternative?

My recommendations for getting control over your PA are the following:
1. Start a recovery journal. This is a great tool for tracking your progress and connecting with other members. I've learned more about myself through journaling on here than I ever thought possible.
2. List your triggers. Each time you find yourself tempted to view P, think about what may have triggered that temptation (home alone is ovbiously one). This will help you to do Step 3.
3. Create a plan for avoiding or minimizing your triggers. This may mean joining a community group, becoming a volunteer (things to get you of the house), installing internet filtering software, etc.

I'm so glad you're here. I look forward to fighting this fight with you sister! Let's keep moving forward to a P free life!
