Welcome to the site Anna. I hope you will be able to get the help and advice you need here. I am a recovering PA (porn addict) myself so I know how it can take over your life. It's great to see that you've realised that you don't want P in your life and that you've had the guts to post on this site. Most people aren't brave enough to do that. My advice is to have a look around the site, there's a lot of really great stuff. The journals of FM: The truth is painful - but required - ThroughTheFlame.org - support forums and AE: Three Hundred and Sixty-Five Days - ThroughTheFlame.org - support forums are particularly inspiring. It would also be good for you to start a journal to record your progressive victory over P. I've found it really helpful in fighting my own addiction. The only way to beat P for good that I've found is to fight it one day at a time. Don't think about tomorrow, leave that till then. Just concentrate on getting through today. Try to find other, more wholesome things to do in the times when you would normally watch P. Take up a musical instrument, sing along to some music, just listen to some music, go out with friends, excercise, do some sport. Whatever it takes to keep you away from temptation. You have decided that you don't want P in your life. Now you have to take action; make a mission plan, write down what triggers you and how you plan to counter those triggers.

You will find no shortage of help, support and advice on this site. Welcome and good luck!

Take care,

Ben

"Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb." - Sir Winston Churchill
