Hey i'm so glad you joined. I have no idea who you are but I love you for who you are, we all do. For that is one of The Lord's greatest commandments. I know exactly how you feel right now, for I went through all of that. The desperation, the confusion and rage at ourselves knowing that we repeat our sin over and over, each time knowing perfectly well what we are doing but still doing it. The guilt that crashes on you immediately afterward. The disconnection you feel from God. It all feels like a downward spiral spinning out of control and you’re just stuck in the middle of it all helpless. But there is hope and if we really seek, we will find,
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (
Matthew 7:7-8)
. So no matter how many times we need to get on our knees and sob over and again repenting the same sin, Jesus loves us just the same and that’s truly a beautiful thing. How many times does a righteous man fall, how many times do we forgive, how many times will we be forgiven? There is hope and you know where to look for it. Believe and you will overcome.
